The Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque is one of them — serene, monumental, and effortlessly elegant. White marble stretches toward the sky, reflections ripple under your feet, and suddenly the pace of travel slows into something quieter, more intentional.
Traveller tips for a smooth visit🕰️ Choose your moment – Early morning for calm and clarity, sunset for warmth and drama.👗 Dress thoughtfully – Modest attire is required; flowing fabrics feel right in both spirit and heat.📸 Observe before you capture – Walk once without your camera. Let the space speak first.🎧 Use the guided experience – The stories behind the design add depth to the beauty you see.🚖 Plan easy transport – Taxis and ride-shares are straightforward and affordable. This isn’t just a sightseeing stop — it’s a pause in the journey. A reminder that travel isn’t only about movement, but about moments that stay with you long after you’ve moved on.

Amsterdam didn’t start as a city. It started as a Amsterdam didn’t start as a city.
It started as a dam.In the 13th century, locals built a dam across the Amstel River to control flooding and trade routes. That simple solution became Amstelredamme — later shortened to Amsterdam. The dam turned into a marketplace.
The marketplace turned into a port. The port turned into one of the world’s most influential trading cities. What began as flood control became canals, commerce, culture — and a city that grew on the water.📍 Still standing today: Dam Square

My city in the snow. I love Amsterdam ❤️ True, ma My city in the snow. I love Amsterdam ❤️
True, maybe it cant handle 1 cm of snow like most cities. Maybe it cant handle it at all? But what I love is the city embraced it like no other. People still bike to work. Kids slid down the streets. Life evolved and the city morphed into the most beautiful place I have ever seen 😍

I know it seems silly, but dispite thousands of flights this vantage point on the world is still amazing to me

Dam square is hit or miss and this year there wasn't one. Maybe they put it in Weesp 🫠😅I missed getting a snowy hyperlapse of Rijksmuseam because they took it down so early. Most of these can still be seen and enjoyed which is absolutely brilliant of the city 👏 ❤️🌲

Made it to Samarkand, Uzbekistan 🇺🇿 on the train f Made it to Samarkand, Uzbekistan 🇺🇿 on the train from Tashkent and wow this place is incredible.
Apparently the Registan Plaza is slowly sinking because there are ancient water channels running underneath it. You can sometimes actually hear water flowing beneath the stones which is wild. So go soon! Jk jk
Also those famous blue tiles at Shah-i-Zinda? Some change color throughout the day because of some glaze recipe that's been lost to history. The craftsmen literally took the secret to their graves.
The train ride was beautiful - watching everything shift from Tashkent to this ancient Silk Road city in a few hours. Alexander the Great said it was "more beautiful than he imagined" and honestly, same.

Underground palaces of Tashkent.the legendary Ta Underground palaces of Tashkent.the legendary Tashkent Metro—each station is a masterpiece. Soviet-era chandeliers, hand-painted ceramic tiles, marble columns, and intricate mosaics that tell stories of Uzbekistan's rich history and culture.Fun fact: Photography was actually banned here until 2022 for security reasons, making these stations some of Central Asia's best-kept secrets.
Minor Mosque: Tashkent’s Marble GemIf you ever n Minor Mosque: Tashkent’s Marble GemIf you ever needed proof that new can look just as timeless as the old, Tashkent’s Minor Mosque may be just the spot.
Facts:🕌 It’s actually very new — opened in 2014, yet it feels a bit timeless in style.⚪️The entire facade is white marble, which gives it a glowing, almost icy look in sunlight (especially dramatic at sunset).🌙 The two turquoise domes aren’t traditional Uzbek blue—they’re a lighter, almost pastel shade chosen to stand out against the marble.📖 Inside, you’ll find hand-carved Quranic calligraphy and a hall that fits more than 2,000 worshippers. Its one of my favorite places to relax...Built overlooking a canal, the breeze around the mosque makes it one of the most peaceful places in the city.Tashkent may be modern, but spots like this remind me how beautifully tradition and contemporary design can blend

Save this, because the best spot to grab a cheap c Save this, because the best spot to grab a cheap cold beer + amazing sunset view is Hotel Uzbekistan which has been looming over Tashkent since 1974, and it's exactly as intense as you'd expect from a USSR soviet era concrete tower.Cool fact.
The hotel had a secret KGB station between the topmost floor of the hotel and the terrace, which was used to spy upon the guests...all rooms were bugged by the KGB back in the dayThis brutalist giant was built after the massive 1966 earthquake leveled the city, so they made it earthquake-proof. Basically a fortress pretending to be a hotel....with cold cheap beers! What's not to love?!
